Our CEO Wins her Place in Rare Birds Mentorship Program

Natalie Bramble has won a scholarship with the prestigious Rare Birds Mentoring Program. The government-sponsored program pairs business owners with expert mentors to grow their business and skillset.

Natalie isn’t a novice business owner. She has over 14 years of experience in the not-for-profit and training sector but being located in regional NSW, she has first-hand experience of the difficulties faced by rural communities and businesses.

With all this experience you’ll be forgiven for wondering what Natalie hopes to gain from being mentored.

“I was thrilled when I heard I’d been selected. My hope is I’ll be challenged to grow personally and professionally. You can never stop learning. Everyday I wake up and ask myself: ‘What will I learn today?’

Even if I’ve done something a thousand times, there’s always a new perspective, a new way to see something. You’ve got to seek it out, find the challenge, that’s how you keep growing,” Natalie said.

Managing a small business during a pandemic is new for most business owners. Being accepted into the scholarship program and being matched with a high-level mentor will provide Natalie with additional skills to navigate during this uncertain phase.

In total, 90 business owners were chosen from various backgrounds and experiences, such as Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander, women with disabilities, women who are migrants or refugees, women from low socioeconomic backgrounds, or women that live in rural, regional and remote communities.

The Rare Birds Mentoring Program is funded by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet‘s Office for Women Jo Burston Marise Payne.
